| A Happy Valentine's Day |
I cant think of a better way to start off Valentine's. Imagine, to wake up with your loved one lying beside you, sleeping so gently, so soundly. For some reason, as tired as i was i couldnt sleep. And so i woke up early, and watched you as you were sleeping. You looked so calm, without a care in the world and slept on so gently like a baby. And i always say that you never take the initiative to want to see me. :)
After that was a visit to the zoo. It was nice, havent been to the zoo since.. perhaps i was a kid. Strolling along all the attractions, you would think you'd be the only couple spending V-day in zoo. Along the way we did see a lot of other couples though. Singapore zoo was interesting, a lot of animal species. Although some species only featured one or two animals, kinda sad. For the animals i mean, their lives looked so monotonous. They seem so bored, either lazing around or going round and round in their little cages. It was rather romantic, strolling at our own pace with my baby dear. And watching your facial expression as you grimaced and squealed as you enter the fragile forest, with live lemurs prancing all around us. Hee hee. My cute baby.
And after that we went for dinner and a night movie. Epic movie, lame lame lame. It lacked a real storyline, because it seems that a 10 year old could write a better script. So cheesy some of the jokes, made it look like some low budget film. Or is it one already? The only funny part was the part where the "white bitch" tried to pronounce "the kids have escaped". De.. kidz.. have.. es.. ca.. peh.. deh.. Urgh! No more spoof movies.
Nevertheless, it did not spoil our night. And it was my first Valentines spent with someone i love(so dearly). :) Thank you, my baby for the wonderful night.
Isnt it amazing, this little thing called love. Every morning we wake up with our hair messy, teeth not brushed, mouths low on hygiene levels and sleeping in the most awkward positions. And yet, we still find it lovely, to see our loved one in his most vunerable state, observing his movements, studying his features. And definitely a blessing by itself. If you think of it, and break it down to the number of days for the rest of your life, that you get to wake up to see your loved one beside you. Could it be another 1000 days? 500 or perhaps just another 100? And coming to the end of your time what would you do differently? Cherish the moments more with each passing day? Even as the relationship grows stale and cold? Isnt it heartwarming to see old couples still holding hands in public as they walk, helping each other with every step? Perhaps their love isnt as passionate or intimate as it used to be. But for them to go through a life of trials and tribulations, and after decades still expressing their love in public, that is a milestone in its own.
To all couples: happy valentines day!
