A trip to Malaysia
I went to Malaysia 2 weeks ago , supposedly to come back on wednesday, but i didnt come back home till 7 am on thursday morning that week. As a result, i slept till late afternoon(i didnt sleep the night before) and missed the whole of thursdays and fridays classes.
And i was lazy to type out another long entry so that explains the overdue entry.

Monday
I was packing my stuff when my baby suddenly showed up. Really sweet, at least i got to see you before i left. That explains why i was the last one to turn up, and everyone was waiting for me, hee hee.
Left Singapore for JB on a bus, and transferred to a coach to Muar, where Hung Jin stays.
JB was nice, with its old, quaint coffeeshops and bazaar-like shops. Things are cheap there, probably a good half price off the things you find here.
Anyway, we arrived in Muar soon after and off we went to Jins house. Bungalow! Big, spacious, 2 stories, i wish i was living in one. Nothing much happening over there, the family was really hospitable , and i shared a room with Ajan. With air-conditioning, woohoo. Stayed the night over at Jins house, after which we left for KL the next morning.

Tuesday
In Malaysia the buses arent in the best condition, so i would rather travel in coaches. Only around 6 ringgit, so not that expensive. So yes, took one of the horrid buses to Melaka, because there werent any direct bus to KL. The bus engine was like a rocket's, damn loud but just not as fast. Not to mention whenever the bus stopped, the humidity and heat really got to me.
Reached Melaka around noon, and the coach to KL didnt start till evening. Walked around the area a bit, found this huge walmart-warehouse-concept store, where you find everything under this big factory-sized roof.
After lunch and dinner, we took the night coach to KL.
Stayed at a 2 stars hotel near Sunway Lagoon. Despite being just a 2 stars hotel, it was rather comfortable, complete with air-con, tv, and personal toilet.

Wednesday
We went to Sunway Lagoon. Pretty modern, lots of shops with teenager stuff. Wanted to buy so many stuff unfortunately at that time i was running low on cash. And we watched a movie Curse of the golden flower. What a crap movie. Why the hell would Gong li and Chow yun fatt be starring in it i dont understand. But the tickets are cheap there though. Costs only around $3.
And in the evening i had to go back, cause i intended to go to school the following day. And the guys were sending me up to the point when i got the ticket for trip back, to the train station and coach ticket counter. Such wonderful friends.
In the end, we found out that the train journey takes 12 hours(!!!) and so they each gave me money to pay for the 80 ringgit "luxurious" coach ride. It was well, luxurious, i was given a croissant-sandwich, water, own tv set with movies, pillow and blanket. And the reclining arm chair thingy. And it was so comfortable(and cold) i fell asleep watching The Constant Gardener.

A conclusion:
Food glorious food, everywhere. Malaysia offers many varieties of food.
Accomodations and travel are reasonably cheap.
Travelling around Malaysia is fun, when you have someone who lives there/knows the way. Trains, coaches and buses(last resort) are cheap transportations, and unless you are filthy rich do not take the cabs. Bloody blood-sucking cab drivers do not go by the meter, and they jack the price up so high. Eg. $100 Sing dollars from Muar to KL.
They must think we are retarded.
Malaysia is definitely fun, hopefully next time i'll remember to bring along more money.
